EGE PLAST CO.
Ege Plast , the leading company of Turkish
plastics industry is the flagship of Mazhar
Zorlu Holding, located in Izmir.
The establishment of the holding dates back
to 1950s and started by our Honorary President
Mr. Mazhar Zorlu with a local construction company
mainly worked in the Aegean Region of Turkey.
As the limitations on importation were started
to be gradually lifted in Turkey, Mr. Zorlu founded
EGEYILDIZ PLASTICS TRADE AND MARKETING in 1959
and entered in plastic production industry.
The production started with small capacity
extruders and hand presses to manufacture plastic
plates, plastic medicine bottles and plastic
covers. In 1965, EGEYILDIZ started to manufacture
construction and agriculture related pipes and
fittings.
In 1973, the new company EGEPLAST, which
supplied raw materials from PETKIM Refinery
took over the production activities and EGEYILDIZ
became the sales and marketing company in the
group.
EGEPLAST, following the trends and changing
demands in Turkish and Global Markets, with
continuous investments, carries on manufacturing
activities in 3 different locations in Ýzmir
AOSB, Gaziemir and Adana in a total production
area of 80.000m2.
EGEPLAST is one of the largest manufacturers
of plastic pipes in Europe. The company's %31
share is publicly held listed in Istanbul Stock
Exchange.
EGEPLAST preserves it's leading position, as
the inventor and innovator corporation in the
industry with an annual plastic processing capacity
of 85.000 tons with high technology and more
than 6500 different products made of PVC, HDPE,
MDPE, LDPE, PP and PPRC.

stable gasket,
• PVC Water Water Pipes and Fittings with
Sealing Ring & Stable Gasket (patented),
• Rain Gutters and Down pipes for building
roofs,
• Natural Gas Pipes,
• PEA Aluminum Headed Pipes and Fittings
for Irrigation,
• ASPVC Pipes and fittings for agricultural
purposes with energy and water saving features
due to special jointing method which does not
allow any leakage,
• Pressurized PVC water pipes with 1000
mm. diameter (Unique in Europe),
• PVC Waste Water Drainage Pipes with 1000 mm. diameter (3rd in Europe).
EGEPLAST has a strong distributing channel
of 2.000 dealership inherited from generations
to generations for the last decades. The %75
of our total production is distributed by our
dealers spread all around Turkey, the rest is
exported and sold via public tenders directly
from the factory.
The exporting destinations are almost 30 countries and our major exporting country is IRAQ.

EGEPLAST QUALITY MANAGEMENT, RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Our company practices the "Quality Management System" for the last 6 years. We were certified by TSE with TSE-ISO-EN-9001 in 1996 as the first company received this certification in the plastics sector.
After the auditing by TSE, our Quality Management System is certified with the revised ISO 9001-2000, in 2002.
The major commitment of our Quality Management Policy is to increase the customer satisfaction, improve the quality management systems continuously and maintain the reliable and trustable image of our brand in plastics industry.
Our company is aware of that the most important element of the Quality Management System is human resources. Therefore the employees attend special training sessions every year to improve their and the company's overall performance.
Research & Development activities are paid the most attention in order to maintain the high quality production and new product development for wider product portfolio.
The Quality Management System starts in Design Process in EGEPLAST. For that reason, the ISO 9001 Model were preferred during our first application to TSE in 1996. In our company, the new product development requests and product improvement activities are evaluated as a "Project". The Research And Development Department is fully assigned for the design process. During this process the mechanical extrusion techniques are supported by AutoCAD R 14 Software and all new technologies are taken into consideration.
Each Step of the Design Process is controlled and checked by Research and Development Department and related personnel. That is very important to avoid any possible problems that might occur during production process in the future. The changing factors such as usage purpose, the place to be used, life cycle, convenience, packaging are taken into consideration before the design is prepared. The process is followed until the product is manufactured completely and with zero defect.
The products of EGEPLAST are in conformity with many National and International Standards including TSE and GOST.
